PENNDOT TRAVEL ADVISORY – 24 hour closure (detour) County Line Rd between Dove Rd and Meckville Rd starting 4/1/2019,  estimated finish date 5/30/2019 for concrete repairs, latex overlay, drainage repairs and misc maintenance repairs.

To raise awareness of Earth Day 2019, the Bethel Township Environmental Advisory Council is sponsoring a litter pickup on Saturday, April 13th. Trash will be collected from the on/off ramps at one of the exits of Interstate 78. Volunteer help from township residents, or other interested persons, with this effort would be most welcome and much appreciated. If you would like to participate in helping to keep Bethel Township a beautiful place to live, meet at the Bethel Library Annex Building at the Bethel Exit (Exit 13) of Interstate 78 at 9:00 a.m. on April 13th, rain or shine. The pickup should last about three hours. Please wear weather appropriate clothing including sturdy shoes or boots. Work gloves and brightly colored safety vests will be provided. This project is open to school age children and adults, however elementary and middle school children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Lunch will be provided free of charge for all participants. In order to make lunch arrangements beforehand, please call EAC Chairperson Mike

Bethel Township Board of Supervisors held the hearing for the proposed zoning ordinance and map changes July 16, 2018.  The Board of Supervisors have decided to revisit in conjunction with the Planning Commission to take in consideration the comments from the hearing.  At the August 28th meeting that was held, the BOS & PC discussed half of the properties that were identified from the July 16th transcript.  Detailed discussion ensued on those properties, no changes have been made so far to the map or ordinance, the other properties in question from the transcript will be discussed at the next joint meeting. At the September 25th meeting discussion took place on the remaining properties. At the October 23rd meeting they discussed specific language in each of the districts as it pertained to the properties discussed during the hearing and meetings. At the November 19th meeting discussion took place on specific commercial uses on several properties. At the February 12, 2019 meeting discussion on Neighborhood Commercial (name of the zone) and Ag Provision sections. Next joint meeting to be held March 26, 2019.
